Paine’s Penguins

The London Underground publicity posters are an iconic documentation of the history of the world’s first electric underground railway. The design for our Paine’s Penguins tile is from the 1921 lithograph by Charles Paine. The message on the poster: “For the Zoo, Book to Regent’s Park or Camden Town.” These delightful penguins look adorable alone, framed or in a clock.
